To photograph the Northern Lights with your phone, first open the camera app and check under More<\/em> if a Night mode is available. If so, select it, hold your phone as steady as possible\u2014or use a tripod\u2014and you should be able to capture the aurora clearly whenever it is visible to the naked eye, even if it appears only as a faint haze.<\/p>

If your phone does not have a Night mode but offers a Pro or Manual mode, adjust the ISO setting to a high value, around 800, and if the option exists, extend the shutter speed to about 10 seconds. A yellow icon\u00a0 appears automatically when using your camera in low light\u00a0 its next to the flash button too left – simply hold up your phone and it should automatically take a photo with a 3 second exposure,If it\u2019s still too dark , tap the up arrow button at the top of the screen a row of icons will appear – tap the one to the right of the flash ( night mode icon) then scroll to the right to increase shutter speed to up to 10 seconds.<\/p>

Mettete la vostra fotocamera in modalit\u00e0 manuale con messa a fuoco manuale, togliete la stabilizzazione dell'immagine\/il controllo delle vibrazioni<\/p>

Posizionare la fotocamera sul treppiede, mettere a fuoco manualmente una stella lontana - utilizzare il live view e lo zoom digitale - quindi ruotare la ghiera di messa a fuoco sull'obiettivo della fotocamera per assicurarsi che le stelle siano perfettamente nitide.<\/p>

Iniziare con circa iso 3200, velocit\u00e0 dell'otturatore di 5 secondi, apertura massima consentita dall'obiettivo (f1,8 ecc.).<\/p>

Utilizzate l'obiettivo pi\u00f9 ampio che avete per avere tempi di posa pi\u00f9 lunghi: 14 mm.<\/p>

Se non disponete di un obiettivo veloce, aumentate gli iso, ma non aumentate la velocit\u00e0 dell'otturatore oltre i 10 secondi, perch\u00e9 con un obiettivo da 35 mm e oltre si formano le scie delle stelle.<\/p>

As the brightness of the aurora changes, change your shutter speed accordingly – bright = faster shutter speed 4 seconds – faint around 10.<\/p>

Ricordate: mettete a fuoco la fotocamera, tutto in manuale.
