Begin your journey with a 5 km husky sled ride, where you drive the team yourself along pristine snowy trails. After the excitement, slow down with a peaceful 2–3 km reindeer sleigh ride through the serene wilderness. Inside a cozy teepee, your hosts will prepare delicious open-fire salmon soup so you can savor authentic Lappish flavors by the warmth of the fire.

We provide thermal winter overalls and sturdy boots to keep you comfortable in the Arctic chill. Our team also offers convenient pick-up and drop-off services within a 10 km radius of Rovaniemi city center. Throughout the day, your guide will share fascinating insights into reindeer herding, life on the farm, and the traditions that remain deeply rooted in Lapland’s culture.

You don’t need any previous experience to join this tour. Before the safari begins, your guide will give you clear instructions on how to handle the sled, keep your balance, and communicate with the huskies. Two people share each husky sled—one drives while the other sits comfortably, and you can switch roles halfway. The ride is exciting and fast-paced, but we design it for beginners and families so that everyone can enjoy it safely. Children can sit in the sled, which makes it a memorable adventure for the whole family.

This adventure suits most travelers with a normal level of fitness. Driving a husky sled requires some balance and the ability to stand for about 30–40 minutes, while the reindeer ride offers a calm and relaxing experience. You will only walk short distances, mostly around the farm and between activities. We provide warm winter overalls and boots to keep you comfortable even in colder weather. As with all outdoor Arctic activities, dress in layers underneath the gear we provide to stay warm throughout the day.

Beyond the activities, this tour offers a deeper connection to Lapland’s traditions. The reindeer ride introduces you to a way of travel that has been central to Sámi culture for centuries. While winter clothing and boots are included, we recommend wearing warm base layers, a good pair of wool socks, gloves, and a hat. Bringing your camera is a must, as you’ll want to capture both the fast-paced husky ride and the serene reindeer sleigh journey. A small water bottle and some snacks for children can also be handy. Most importantly, bring an adventurous spirit—this tour is designed to give you the best of both worlds: adrenaline with huskies and serenity with reindeer, all wrapped up in an authentic Lapland experience.
